I am mostly looking for updo's...have any suggestions? I have layered hair about shoulder length.

Well, it depends on the occasion. The hairstyle I'm about to say goes for pretty much every situation.
Take about a 1 inch section of hair and twist it back. Repeat until all of your hair is twisted back and then secure in a messy bun. You can curl peices to make it look fancier. Try having someone else do it to your hair if you can. They might can make it sleeker, so it's not quite as messy. Tip: You have to keep your hair pulled pretty tight for it to look really good.

Ooh, one time I got my hair done with all these little braids in the front and then it pulled back and I tied it up in a twisty bun in the back, it works for short hair

I like hair extensions, different colors added in. or braids. or all of the hair pulled up on top of head, then curl each piece like a twist and it hangs in little curls.
