I'm trying to rasie money through scholarships to spend a year studying abroad in Israel, but i willl not be attending a college program. Do any of you know any essay contests or scholarships that will let you win and give you the money and not pay it directly to the university/college? Any ideas about great ways to raise money would also help. thank a ton!!

If your studying abroad how are u not in some type of college program. Most people always send the award straight to the college so the money isn't misspent.
