My religion is peace.
I have come to this conclusion after a lifetime of injury done by many different people, with many different beliefs.
I choose to not hurt others, no matter what their religious beliefs.

i ama Celtic Pagan.
When i was a teeneager I believed in a higher power, but not the christian god(too many wars for a god of peace and love)
so i started researching religions. and the Celts were some of the few that fit my moral code and had never started a war to expand their religion.
it has had many postitive effects on my life. i think in a more positive manner than i did back then.
I used to get into a lot of fights and really hurt some people.
now i am able to defend myself, but i do not feel the need to "teach a lesson" to someone that hits me or attacks me. stopping them is enough for me now.
my relations with my family have improved even though thay are mostly Christian and i am Pagan, we are able to respect each other's beliefs, and i am able to simply walk away from conversations with them that may lead to a religious fight.
I am Ordained, so i have been able to share in the joy of marriage and have had the honor to marry a few couples.
luckily i have not had the misfortune of a funeral to officiate at.
this would still be an honor but a sad one.
as far as negative effects go, i really cant think of any, if i could think of a negative effect that my religion had on my life i would probally be looking for another religion. religion is supposed to be a positive thing that helps you in all that you do and this is how i feel about mine.

My religion is Paganism and I choose it because, logically it makes sense to me. I believe people created religion. I believe in evolution. I believe all living things are interconnected.
The positive effects it has had on me are that I love myself much more than I used to, now realizing that the Gods are alive within me and everything else. It has taught me many valuable morals, such as the law of three and it has taught me how to balance my life out so that no aspects are ignored.
The only negative effect Paganism has had on me is that some members of my family disapprove and most of society thinks Witchcraft is what they have seen in Hollywood movies like Harry Potter and The Craft.
Blessed be.

I'm a Baptist. This was the first church I attended where I was able to understand the Gospel message. The positive? I've been able to deal and cope with some really horrible stressors in my life. Don't think I could have without God. Negative effects? I really can't think of any caused by my religion.

Buddhism, because it seemed to make perfectly logical sense to me, it was like a science of the mind, and explained why humans act the way they do. Buddhism has made me an infinately better person, before I started down the path I was so deeply ingrained in the asura state of mind that I hardly spoke to anyone. The only negative effect it has had is the fact that people sometimes judge me because of my religion.

I am a Gnostic Christian, basically I believe in what I construe as thee true teachings of Christ, that there is a duality of a Mother and a Father God, that we chart our lives to learn our lessons and experience for them. That we have as many chances or lives to do so. I also believe in spirit guides, angels, and the like. I know there is the Other Side, and that we will all end up there when our chart has been full filled here. It has changed my entire outlook on my life and what I am going through. When I hit a rough patch, it gives me comfort to know I decided this route myself, and wouldn't have charted it if I didn't think I would have the strength to get through it. We also don't judge people, we judge their acts. Which gave me a new outlook on the world's populace.

i was raised as a catholic, but since many things have happened in my life I am not an active member anymore.
i rather think is better to do good acts for other human beings without religion being part of one s life, than to have religion and not helping anyone.

i am a spiritualist
i chose this religion after many years studying mediumship and the paranormal
my beliefs were already that of a spiritualist without realising it
so when i went to spiritualist church or read some of the philosophies ... it seemed a natural progression
we believe in the existence of spirit and spirit communication via a medium who gives evidential descriptions and details of spirit and life after death
