Two cops walked into a room with no windows and found a dead man who obviously hung himself from the ceiling, though they couldn't figure out how. There was no chair beneath him that he might have jumped off of, or a table. Just a puddle of water. How'd he do it?

He was standing on a block of ice when he hooked up the noose. He then jumped off the ice. By the time the cops showed up the ice melted and that was the only evidence left.

I think I heard this somewhere before, wasn't the answer something like he was standing on a piece of ice as opposed to a chair and the ice just melted and he died....

He placed the noose around his neck and stood on a block of ice. As the ice melted the noose caused more pressure, eventually dissolving and hanging him.
