My advise to you is to have your 11 yr old tested by an Optometrist that specializes in Visual training and does Leaning Disability evaluations. This will give you a clear diagnosis and possible treatment options available.

Call her school and have her tested for a disability. There are several out there and you need to know exactly which one it is. Dyslexia is when the letters appear backwards. This doesn't sound like what is happening.

dyslexia?
Ask someone at school about and Individual Education Plan. They have to help her with this if she is diagnosed by a doctor.
If she hasn't been, go see her regular MD and ask him about some resources for help.

Unfortunately it could be dyslexia...that has more too do with psychology so would see a psychologist or psychiatrist about this.I really hope this helps.
