REAL ID will be a new federally required identification card as of May 11, 2008. These "smart" ID cards will carry your background and have features such as magnetic stripe, printed bar code, optical, or radio frequency tracking. Homeland Security is permitted to add additional requirements-- a fingerprint or retinal scan. The hidden Bill was attached to another Anti-terrorism proposal and passed.

Evangelical Christians have likened such a proposal to language in the Bible warning "that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name." That mark is the sign of the "end times." Libertarians argue against increasing the power of government. Civil liberties groups worry about criminal mischief. National ID cards are used in many countries, including Cuba and North Korea. Like those citizens, if you don't carry one, you will be subject to arrest. Republicans are rushing it via elections.

What say you?

I have no problem whatsoever with the idea of a national ID card. Heck, even nowadays police can find out your vital information by running your driver's license thru their onboard computer, so what's the big deal? The way I see it, the only people who are gonna have a problem with the idea of a Federal ID card are those with something to hide. Us law abiding citizens will gladly embrace any method that will help capture the criminal element.
As far was what the bible says, I could care less. The bible also condones slavery, mass murder, and killing women accused of adultery.

Outstanding point! This is another step in the Illuminati agenda to establish a New World Order fascist police state dictatorship. They fully intend to wipe out at least 2/3 of us useless eaters in an all out nuclear world war 3. Those who are unlucky enough to survive will be implanted with a micro-chip, which they can be controlled by.

do have a better solution to address the millions of illegals in this country? Do you have a better solution to ensure that people are who they say they are when they go to vote? What is your solution? They did not hide this bill at all, it was budgetary and expediency that put it where they put it. And also note that it was signed by both parties. So if you have a better solution then we would all love to hear it.
