afterall its a peachy belief system - you go to heaven meet all ur loved ones again - float around in a constant state of bliss.

It is certainly a much easier sell than atheism - ie your body decays and u cease to exist.

i know christianity is nonsense but i sometimes wish i was deluded enough to believe it. Are there any tablets i can get to make myself deluded enough to buy into it?

When I was an atheist, I envied nothing about Christians. Zero.

Now that I am a Christian--grateful for salvation and God's mercy--I see that I was utterly wrong about pretty much everything.

Of course you see Christianity as a pitch or a sale. You could have no idea what it really is.

If you cultivate a relationship with God, he will respond to you. Have you performed this experiment yet, or are you just assuming before you have attempted anything yourself what the results will be?

That is, how scientific is your scientific method today?

In other words, who is the deluded one here? The one who has sought and found, or the one who has not sought and who claims the finding impossible?

I doubt the sincerity of allot who call themselves atheists. Many have come to their conclusions based on flimsy rhetoric and not from taking a serious look at the issue. Some are honest enough to admit they prefer a life devoid of moral laws. I respect the honesty but think their kidding themselves. deep down we have a sense of right and wrong and I have yet to meet anyone who hasn't done something to violate their conscience. (We've all sinned) If I were to become an unbeliever it would not be from the arguments I have heard but rather because I want to pursue a sinful lifestyle. Sin is fun. even the bible says that. The pleasures of sin for a season. Problem is there is a price to pay. Finally I don't think it's necessary to insult each others intelligence. This is more indicative of a lack of legitimate criticism and a willingness to use stereotypes than engage in meaningful dialogue.

You ever told you that was going to happen!

We don't know what's going to happen after "end of times."

You think that's it.

I mean what happens with all these guardian angels. They're out of a job!

We have no idea what God actually does up in Heaven.

For all we know God's out creating all sorts of things and we may have to do some work for our keep!

I mean God had to assign someone with a firery thing to guard the Tree of Life to keep us way.

What makes you think YOU won't be assigned some task. And this will be for Eternity.

What you think Guardian angels get Vacation time.

Where does a HEAVENLY being go for vaction!

Guardian angels are supposed to be RIGHT HERE ON EARTH watching out for all of us.

That's a 24/7/365 job that goes back over 6,000 years already.

Would you like that job!

Maybe they get a day off, but what do they do on that day.

Do you get tired

Does it feel different to sit or stand

Do they eat!

We have NO idea what awaits us!

I don't know why everyone is in such a hurry to get somewhere they've never seen before, don't have a brochure for and leave a place they are already comfortable being at.

Do some Christians secretly envy the mad delusions of the Athiests?
Come on! Your question is more nonsense than your stated knowledge.
I do not state a belief in a certain religion, but do not believe others are less intelligent than myself because they have different beliefs.

The answer is ....yes...sort of. If Atheists envy christians over anything it is the simple ability to have hope that there is an afterlife where you see your loved ones and spend eternity in peace....

Atheists who cannot repress the human need to simply have hope over circumstances totally out of our control...well, they become Agnostics. :-)

And there is no law that says you cannot take it beyond simply having hope...go ahead and create god in the image you like the best, find a book, any book, and write on the first page.."this is the absolute word of god"...then interpret whatever words are in the book to suit your individual needs...and then proceed to shove your interpretations and the image of god you have created down anyone's throat who will listen to you...

Hint : Find the alcoholics, the druggies, prostitutes and career criminals...they are the sort of folks the christians prey upon...hold out some food and when the drunk reaches for it you pull the food away and say "want some food do yah? well first you have to have Jesus in your life, then yah gets some food in yer belly ...."

Easy....isn't it?

You are deluded enough thats for sure. Its too bad you dont believe in religion (or maybe just christianity) based on other people and/or actions? Hows this for deluded, you base your beliefs on rejecting other peoples faith and religious interpretation because you find them ridiculous. You let them decide your belief, thats deluded. I chose my religion on two things, myself and God. No bias here bud, you should try it, but it seems you're a little too preoccupied in judging others.

For a while, i did envy people who could just go thru life without all the questions that I had. But then I realized that questioning, doubting, etc. leads to a more fulfilling and deeper spirituality.

you are able to no longer rigidity your self to have self belief in God. You the two do or do no longer or maybe have some reservations. No, i do no longer envy atheists. God supplied me with potential and want and scarcity of perception might supply me neither.

1 Timothy 6:20Timothy, guard what has been entrusted to your care. Turn away from godless chatter and the opposing ideas of what is falsely called knowledge,
God knew people would try and discredit Him.

No, they don't. I know enough athiests to know that they don't envy Christians. What I AM conviced of, is this "secret jealousy" that Christians have invented about them envying them is just something to help them sleep at night. Just because someone may think it or say it, doesn't make it true.
