Are ALL companies making products so cheaply to keep us buying new ones all the time?

is this the side effect of all products being shipped in from China or India?

all manufacturers, both domestic and foreign, have totally gone for the concept of selling several less-than-good items to people rather than one good item. It makes good capitalist sense. Too bad for the rest of us.

That is why they call it "consumer" electronics. It is designed to last just long enough for you to think you may have gotten your money's worth. Then you are expected to buy a replacement. Commercial and industrial electronics lasts many times longer than this but of course it costs several times as much too. You will generally get what you pay for.

And yes, slavery in certain countries also adds to this effect.

I would buy most anything from the far east, American products just do not a good name to them , like they once did..Look at how far advances the far east is in technology, and we are behind them America is all about Money...
