Your grandfather ever say " Back in my day"? He wasn't talking of a literal day was he. Same with the account of creation. 1 day could have meant tens of millions of years. However mankind appeared suddenly. The Bible record of MAN only goes back 6,000 years

Read the first chapter of Revelations. This will explain it, If you can comprehend it. How do you explain emotions? Love, hate, happiness, sadness, pain, ect. You cant see these either. Does that mean they don't exist?. Feel free to explain it to me!.
