I was brought up as a christian...I had a very good understanding of it and my Sunday school teacher always said 'WOW, you catch on quick!'...but then I started understanding it a little too well if you catch my drift....
Then, standin on the sea and thinkin myself smarter than paint I took this here cutlass and said 'BEDONE WITH IT! For the one true god, the FSM, calls me name, and who better it be to answer than I?!'
That's when I switched to Pastafariansim and have been much happier ever since. Why is this?

select from below:
1. because you want to have a career in gaming (when you grow up)
2. because you catch on quick, so quick in fact we can't catch your drift
3. because knowing how to spell Pastafarianism right is way cooler than knowing how to type Christianism
4. because you were born a Christian, but aren't really a born-again Christian
5. because you are smarter than the average bear

Because Satan is a great deceiver. In fact he is called the Father of Lies. He's good at it, He's been doing it since Genesis Chapter three. His whole desire is to keep all that he can from coming to the truth of Jesus Christ. If this is false peace, through a false religion, then so be it. Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life and no man comes to the Father but by me." He was either a liar, a lunatic or Lord. Take some time to reinvestigate the truth about Jesus.

same reason education and free thought is banned under most religions
power, control and authority do not like questions
the answer, my friend is often found in the questioning of the Authority itself, or in the very question
I and my spouse did same thing
more recently a peer saw me researching own religion, he couldn't explain what an Episcopalean was but insisted on Anglican was something good, then told me not to learn my own faith because people from his church got all edumacated and left when they experienced brain cell evolution and accepted truth over faith and dogma
odd isn't it?

Maybe because you started to think for yourself? I don't know what Pastafariansim is, so I don't really know how to answer this. Good for you though for finding something to believe in.

Um, because you've decided to ignore the reality of an afterlife and adopt a religion which lets you set your very own standards for right and wrong? Of course you'd be happier! I just wish your soul were more important to you.
