Humans are evolving right now. It has less to do with their appearance and more to do with their 'mental' qualities. Some humans are becoming hyper-aware.

Not much time for major changes but there might be minor changes. But for much evolutionary change to take place there really has to be something to pressure the change or the trait isn't necessarily selected for. A lot of the change in size isn't necessarily evolution but instead due to better nutrition and being able to fulfill the potential for growth. If we would get a couple massive epidemics it could be survivors would have a stronger immune system which might be passed on. Otherwise actually medical advances have negated some pressures that would have been instrumental in evolution. Women no longer die in childbirth at the high rates they once did, people who have conditions that would have cut lives short even 100 years ago are living to reproductive age. so currently evolution in humans is pretty much at a standstill.

God made us and he made us with the ability to adapt to the environment. Evolution is actually true We have evolved greatly over the past thousands of years not only mentally but physicaly as well. we have gained the ability to combat newer foreign bodies and have developped a very complex brain. Actually I think we will look much different after a thousand years or so because of different factors like pollution and diet. we could develop more powerful limbs for tool making and we could also develop a larger braincase for a larger much mor complex brain. or we could become Like the marvel heroes or the dc heroes gaining other abilities. the fact is we dont know what we will evolve in the next thousand or so years.

I am a God person and I believe in evolution. You people always assume that we dont and it ticks me off. This is the greatest misconception in the world today. Many people who believe in evolution think that it solves the answer to having no God...WRONG. Further same with the religious right, they are wrong for assuming evolution goes against religion...WRONG! They are both wrong, but that is a much longer story. As for your question, of course we will be much different. Just look at the past 100 years and how much we've evolved! Imagine 1000 years!!!!!!

Since humans did not evolve in the first place, they will not continue to do something that they have never done. If the world as we know it is still in existence in 1000 years we will look much the same with far greater technological sophistication, but not better morally. If mankind evolved, he would become better. Instead of becoming better, we just look for innovative ways to create our own unique personal evils

1000 years, no. Too short for any major changes. However, there is evidence that even now the species is evolving to support larger brains. So maybe some choice microevolution but probably no macroevolution, unless the genetic engineers get involved. Which in that span of time they probably will.

It all depends on whether we can continue to force the environment to adapt to us, and if we don't tamper with our own genome. If so, then no, there won't be any noticeable biological evolution.

Global warming might cause our environment to change beyond our ability to control it. If so, we might see some adaptation.

The bigger unknown is what we will do to ourselves when we have fully reverse engieered our DNA, and have sufficiently advanced nanotechnology to do programmed evolution. Ray Kurzweil predicts that we will be doing this in 50 years or less.

Probably. Abraham Lincoln was 6 foot tall and that was huge for his time. That's pretty common today. In just 100 years we have changed.

I suppose we will get larger, and lighter, as the dark skinned middle easterners are wiping themselves out.

We'll evolve, but that doesn't mean it will be an improvement.
