Well that's pretty hard because he will be sure to look the other way the more he likes you. Think of questions you know he will know the answer to. Start a conversation and sort of make sure it doesn't put him on the spot for scintillating conversation needs, walk along side of him and casually chat. Say things like nice shirt, or that reminds me...I need to pick up a gift for my cousin. Where do you shop at? (Do you get the idea? You are directing conversation in a way that will allow him to feel less shy. Then after you feel he is comfortable with you...think of things that you can further do, like say if you have a class with him, ask if he understand the assignment you just got and tell him you do not, and could he help you out. good luck
