Virtually in tact skelton. Ape-ish upperbody, but anatomy clearly shows that it was bipedal (walks erect).

"The lower part of the body, which includes the foot, the shin bone and the thigh bone clearly shows us that this species was an upright walking creature," he told Reuters.

"But some of the features from the upper part of the body, including the shoulder blade and arms are more ape-like. The fingers are long and curved which suggest she might have been able to swing through trees."http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20060920/sc_nm/ethiopia_fossil_dc

why would I be scared to see the media yanking us around by the noses again?? And some just follow. They have not a clue how old that skeleton is- they can only speculate and are too proud or arrogant to say we speculate , we think it MIGHT be- no they are touting it as fact. Also , I am highly skeptical- we have been fooled before with human skulls and ape mandibles and pigs teeth! When someone who has been there and seen it or my God tells me otherwise, I will continue asking questions- this is solid proof of nothing - because they just don't know- there are no dating techniques that are foolproof and besides that how can they say with certainty it is a human child??? It could be a completely different species that became extinct - there are all manner of possibilities but lets just pick the one that fits in with our agenda and shove it down the public's throat.

I'll bet it's a hoax. There is no way that I came from a monkey. God created me in his image. Some atheist probably planted those bones, just to try and prove evolution. It won't work. You are all going straight to hell.

Praise the lord!!

Edit: Ha ha ha. I am an atheist. I was trying to predict what kind of answers you might get. I was right on target. Cha-ching!!!
(Next time I should probably make some orthographical and grammatical errors to be more convincing, huh?)

If you're trying to prove Darwinian evolution, then I'm not entirely convinced. It's likely just a physical aberration of some sort. Pure speculation! If you're trying to prove there is no God, then wait until judgement day--you'll be in for a big surprise!

Yes I did hear about it. I found it very interesting, though the jury is still out until the foot can be accessed.
