I heard it in a song named "Volver a Comenzar" by cafe tacuba, I speak spanish too and my brother said "Did he just say mamada?" and I said "no I think he said ramada" and I didn't know what the translation was in english I don't even know what it means in spanish too so I just searched for it on here hoping for answers. It kinda sounds like the meaning of it means wet wood or something?

is this a Chilean word??? because if it's a can tell you..
In Chile they celebrate their independence day going to the places called Ramadas they are tents made of Ramas ( branches from the trees) and people go there to eat and dance.. Now if is not a chilean word then I can only tell you it has to do with Branches ( rama in spanish ) a bunch of Branches.

Hey Mgilmore,

Caja's right. It's the same thing in Peru and in Bolivia. In Peru, especially in the 1990s, they used to be very popular on the beach. People would party really hard there...often things would get out of control, though...that pretty much brought things to an end.
You can still find them but no more dancing anymore, just drinks and great seafood.

Hope this helps!
