I'm putting this in the religious section because I'm a Christian, and would like to see what fellow Christians, and anyone else can answer too, :) see that they can change in themselves to make a better marriage. It's so easy for us to see what the other person in our relationship needs to change. Sometimes it's harder to look in ourselves and see the faults that we too have. Sometimes though we need to see our imperfections to realize it's alright for our spouses to be imperfect too. If you could, or already are working on a change to be a better spouse, what is it? And how would you/are you going about doing it? I just love to see marriages where people are working at the best for the relationship and the other person, and would love to know how you make your marriage work with the changes beginning with you. :) Thanks.

I would like to be a better listener without giving advice all the time but just being supportive and accepting.

The only possible answer I can give it to be married first but I'm not. I used to be and unfortunately he passed away. So I can answer only due to experience. Always respect and put your spouse before yourself. Always. It is true love to do so. My husband lived by this and I was loved to the max by him. He was too good to me and I miss him with all my being. We all have faults as we are human, but looking beyond those small things is the greatest step toward living and loving no matter who you are..........

That is a good question, but you might get a lot of sarcasm. This is a mean spirited board.

I'm not married, so I cannot help.
