This this guy that I have known for 5 years now. We are like best friends. He is so awesome. He is cute, funny, cheers me up all the time, and a lot more. anyway, i really like him. I try not to show it though. There are little things that he does now that is different than before like he won't tell anyone tell anyone who he is taking to the dance, and he usually does. He is also, to me, paying more attention to me. He says that I am awesome and cool all the time, but I don't know if he is just saying it because we are really close friends. Should I ask him out?

Be up front with him , tell him you feel much closer to him now and ask him if he feels the same .
Then if he does he will ask you out and that feels much better !
No one ever got anywhere by sitting on the side lines of life waiting for something to happen to them .
Go after whatever you want !
