Everyone has some floaters but if you werent seeing any and suddenly you see scads there could be a problem.See I was at the eye doctors yesterday and and he said this if you are very nearsighted and suddenly you are seeing ton of floaters it could be a sign of a detached retina. But only you would know if you usaully have some dont worry its if you have a sudden major increase.Other signs are seeing a curtain in front of your eye or flashes of light. He warns me about this every time I go in because he says its a risk for the exstremely nearsighted.

Most spots and eye floaters are merely annoying but harmless when they temporarily enter the field of vision, and many fade over time. People sometimes are interested in surgery to remove floaters, but doctors are willing to perform such surgery only in rare instances.
If you suddenly see new floaters, or eye floaters accompanied by flashes of light or peripheral vision loss, it could indicate serious conditions such as diabetic retinopathy; vascular abnormalities such as retinal hemorrhages or carotid artery disease, or the beginning of a retinal detachment. The retina can tear if the shrinking vitreous gel pulls away from the wall of the eye. This sometimes causes a small amount of bleeding in the eye that may appear as new floaters. You should see your eye doctor immediately.

There should be any problem if you experience one or two floaters from time to time. However, if you are experiencing a lot of floaters at one time, seek medical attention right away or at least talk to an advice nurse for instructions on what to do if anything.

Well if they are bad, unfortunately there is nothing that can be done. Most floaters are washed out by tears, others are actual Iris deterioration, this will just get worse with age.

the floaters you see are from vitreous jelly in the back of the eye. If you have a lot you should have it checked since you may have a vitreous hemorrhage.

None, really. They are normal, and you are constantly producing lacrimal fluid to wash any particles out.
