Sorry, but even though he may want a dumb tattoo, it is indeed his money and his body. At least get him to a good tattooist. And whatever you do, do not let him get your name tattooed on him! That is such bad luck for a relationship.

I saw your response to another who wants a tattoo to symbolize their relationship. I think it's a horrible idea. From my experiences, I cover too many names, dates, and symbols to agree with anyone doing such a thing. Common-law marriages mean nothing really and are only recognized by 9 states. It's just an agreement between two people to call themselves married. I wish nothing bu the best for you and your boyfriend, but, things happen. Why not tell your boyfriend to wait, and when you get married, and have children, he could get something to symbolize the birth of your children. Your children will be created with love, and that will never change. If he wants a tattoo now, tell him to get one, just not one that could require a cover-up in the future.

I would have to agree with everyone else in saying that it's his body and he will do it if he wants, but if he respects you he will discuss this with you. I would say that if he really wants another tattoo you both should pick out a tasteful one for him together. As for his idea for a design, while it may sound like a good idea at the time, he may not like it later on down the line. I have 6 and regret one. He needs to think long and hard about what he wants. Hope everything works out.

I feel that it is is his body, and he should be able to decorate it in the manner he chooses. If you have a problem, maybe you should reconsider dating him in the first place. I have tattoos and I love everyone of them and they all hold special meaning for me, I was married to a man that did nothing but gripe about them and just about everything else too. We are now divorced, hmmm some surprise.

if one of you has to be wrong then it is definitely you. how dare you think that you can tell someone what to do with there body. how would you feel if he told you to lose some weight or that you looked fat in that. you can give him your opinion but he is intitaled to do what he wants. you are not his mother. if you want to be with this guy for the rest of your life then you need to accept and love him for who he is and what he looks like. no ifs no buts. good luck.

A tatt is a superficial thing (mentally and physically) that leaves a permanent mark representing a temporary phase. It is his body and his choice. Do you want to look at it and remember his little phase; or do you want to have him not look at it and remember why it's not there?

Men wear tattoos all the time, but I don't like it either. They remind me of a sorry person like a biker, but they are popular now with women as well as men.

Take it from me. If you tell him not to, and he really wants to, he will resent you for it. It is his body. Tatoos are addictive. He is going to feel like you are controlling him if you tell him he can't. Just let him be and love him for the man he is.

He is wrong but let him do his own thing if he wants to get another tatto then let him if you get angry and say its stupid you may push him away or lose him! Just love him for who he is and what he does!

he is right if he's paying for it than let him, or go and tell him to look at other tattoos first before putting that one on. you never know maybe he'll see something different.
