depends on age of lady u r buying for.plus the amount u want to spend but here are some ideas.
silver earrings are nice. gold even better...if she has not got peirced ears then a braclet or necklace.
a medic alert braclet shows her u care for her wellbeing if she is an older person...as she might be on medication and would like those who give her assistance anytime to be aware of what conditions she has...
picture frames..with a great picture of u and her in ..is always a touching first present then once she has opended this give her the more costly present of what ever else you purchase...
a nice flower arrangement either real or dried..in a crystal vase is a great present for the older lady...
perfume is classy...a nice one is izzy miakie ...or red door by elizabeth arden...or even beauty by elizabeth arden...
make sure anything u do give is gift wrapped if possible , and a card hand written by u is always a nice personal touch.
a book is nice if she likes reading...she might have a hobby such as cooking ..so a jamie oliver or other celeb chef book is nice.
if she has a particular music taste....get her some tunes from that area or even some tokens might surfice if ur really stuck.
there really is so much u can buy..but u give nothing away regarding the lady...
wot is a great idea...its a bit expensive but how about a weekend away for the two of u somewhere special....thats if this person is a lover..and not the mother in law...lol....
somewhere like the cotsworlds..or lake district... where u could walk together and make more memories for future recall..the internet has some good deals at the moment...
well i hope this has been of some help.
good luck.
and wot ever u do buy i am sure she will love it...after all u got it for her...
take care..

Whatever I feel like at the time. A guy could buy me anything, so same here for myself. I'm not into these traditional ideas, they are so limiting. I don't think I've ever said, 'Oh I'm going to get myself something a guy would get me'

I like gadgets though. I'd rather have something fun to play with than anything else.

well i hear different gifts mean different things. such as: when a guy buys you jewelry, he wants to show you off... but i think if youre looking to buy a girl something, get a good idea of what shes into, then buy her something that has to do with that thing shes into. for example; if the girl is really into music, buy her a cd or a cd player or a nice cd case/wallet if she doesnt have one. or take it up a notch and get her concert tickets

Are you trying to find out what sort of things a man could buy for a woman? You would need to consider the interests and motivation of the woman. Some of us like intellectual and fun things. Others would prefer expensive perfume. As for me, well, I buy smellies and books.

Something small. I get a mag called 'the organic life' errrrm or 'organic way' sometimes in that they have special little hand made bits of jewelry. That's what i would get. Something special, something that means something. Hope you get something special for this special lady you have.x ohhhhhhh and it would be wrapped in tissue(not a snotty tissue) paper with a little silk ribbon. Very simple nothing tasteless just pretty small and special. Or handmade soap, just a small bit but in a special hand made box,,,,,,, which you could make your self if you're creative he he bye

Handbags, shoes, hair accessories, junkie jewellery, purses, smellies, I get flowers bought every week so I never have to buy them and so grateful as a man should always bring his love flowers.
