Webb's a Democrat. Go figure.

I think perhaps I phrased the question badly. Maybe this will help: Does anyone know of any offspring of those aforementioned war supporters who are actually risking their lives for this endeavor?

I'm not sure if it would be a good idea to make such a list public, it could make them a target.

No such list exist. Yes, i've served in the military and yes i've been deployed and have two combat patches, Expert Infantry Badge, Combat Infantry Badge and all that goes with them. If you think you or i do not or should not have the right to know then you are dead wrong! That's why we serve at all, in fact. For those freedoms and rights. The reason no such list exists is because the question hasn't been asked enough and to the right people for anyone to care enough to compile one. And if it were one, it would be listed as classified anyway because it would be viewed as the rich (well off or politicians) being privelaged.

Why? Are you going to write a paper for the Commislamics? The last time I looked, we had an ALL VOLUNTEER ARMED FORCES. If there are none serving in the military, what will that prove? That their offspring are not in the armed forces because they are doing other things of their choosing, that's what. It does not prove that they are unpatriotic, that they do not think it is an honorable war, that they "influenced" their way out of the military, or anything else that you are attempting to INFER with this stupid question. Comprendo?

I do know that James Webb who's running for the senate in Virginia, has a son in the Marines who just left for Iraq.

No, there is no list kept.

However, Michael Moore asked this same question to a republican senator, who promptly listed several republican congressman and senators who DID have offspring serving in Iraq and afghanistan.

Michael Moore left the question in his Farenheit 911 movie, but omitted the answer, because it didn't suit his point of view...

No. That is Privacy Act material, and you have no need to know such things. Nor do I, for that matter.
