Yes, they shed a lot all year and then twice a year they shed even more.

YES!! I had a beagle for 12 years and when she died, I found hair for a year after that. Yes, beagles shed...quite badly.

No, I would not say that they shed a lot, but like almost all dogs, they do shed.
But you will not have hair blowing all over your house like you would with some breeds.

Yep!!!! if you want a dog that doesn't shed you should get a dog with hair and not fur. look at the Akc listing for the ratings on shedding, etc.

If you groom them outside just about everyday you should not have too bad of a shedding problem.
