Sweetheart I could just imagine how much you love your grandma. Have you tried telling her how you feel? I bet that your grandma smoking is bothering you a lot but at 75 she probably will not stop, especially if she has been smoking the majority of her life. I suggest talking to her and letting her know that you are concern about her health, maybe and hopefully you could make a difference. Good luck and my prayers are with you.

Smoking isn't about looking cool it's about things that affect your life like depression and stress, you are 13 and therefore have no reasons to smoke, no one can force you into it, you choose to either do it or not.

My mother died at 72 - she quit smoking the week before, but it was too late. For years my father asked her to quit, as did I and so did my daughter, but you can't force - only ask. She knows all the bad things about it - she has been hearing them for years and until she is ready she won't. But keep badgering her - my husband finally quit after 10 years of begging from our daughter - that was his strongest motivator. Good luck

I don't think you should stop her. It's her life and if she doesnt want to stop messing it up it's her own choice! My grandma wont stop either, so I know how you feel. But i've just given up.

Get her addicted to something more healthy, DUH. Try to make her watch Celebrity Fit Club, it's a good alternative to smoking.
