The word god implies a spiritual being who has some power over the world or people. Many societies believe in more than one god, even if they believe one of their gods is more powerful than all the others. So are you really saying there is an all-powerful good god, who we call God, and a less powerful bad god, who we call Satan? I think if you truly believe there is only one god, then Satan can not be taken as a literal being, but rather as a representative concept of whatever is selfish and ungodly.

What you're saying is true, but it will be met with resistance and denial by those who claim themselves to be Christian. Remember, everybody hates the speakers of truth, for the truth is painful.

Effectively this is true. Satan is called "the god of this world" in the Bible. The Bible also speaks of other gods, whom the Israelites were commanded not to worship. I'm under the impression that the other gods are the demonic angels of Satan. The good angels are apparently just called angels.

Satan is god of the world until Jesus defeats him. I only believe that God is the one true God, and Satan is a fallen angel that wanted to be better than God. Yes Satan is real.

Satan is an angel whom God created. God cannot create another God, but he can create other beings. God did not begin and does not end. Satan did begin and will end.

There is no confusion here at all.

Satan is real--not a god, not a concept, but a fallen angel.

Satan, in the christian sense of the term isn't a God in the sense of God. Rather Satan is a fallen angel who rebelled against God and was thusly banished to Hell. In representation, he is seen as being against God and all of his creation. His purpose is basically to try and destroy humanity. He's not an antithesis to God in any sense, more a distinct enemy.

Satan is an angel of light, a fake of Christ, he is not a god. He cannot create, love, tell the truth and a score of other things that the one true God can do.

Satan is not now, nor was ever, a god. He was an angel who sought to exalt himself above God and was cast out of heaven for his trouble.

Satan is not evil. His name, Lucifer, means lightbringer, and he merely offers optional ways of learning lessons, hence, bringing "light", or knowledge.

WHY would God create an evil alterego?
Life is not a comic book, like the book of Job.
