what are some of the symptoms? i have taken hin to the vet..X-rays and they cannot figure out whats wrong.they want to do a very expensive MRI which wont help him much if it is one.he is staring into space as if he cannot see..having trouble seeing.walkin in one place and not responding to my voice.

sadly, yes they do. i lost the dog i grew up with to a stroke.

the symptoms are as variable as they are in humans, but if your pet has any symptom that you think matches a stroke, take them to the vet.

Yes they can have storkes.
Partial paralysis on one sode of the face and body. Sometimes they can not get up on thier own and if they do they will walk in circles. Or wanser around and seem not to be able to see sometimes and run into things.
I had a female doberman who had one and after about two weeks she was back to pretty much normal for about 6 months then she had another one and she did not hve as much improvement and she could not get up on her own. We had her put to sleep as she was terrified of almost everything that made noise and was peeing in her bed.

yes dogs have strokes and heartattacks if you think your dog is in danger of one call the vet right away over weight dogs dogs that are worked hard like a sled dog and dogs over age 7 are high risk..i pray your dog is well

yes my dog has little strokes. she gets all tight and can't move she also shakes alittle. and then after a few minutes she will be fine.
