No it will not. This poor dog needs training. Having him neutered is more healthy for him and will curb his wanting to mark territory, but it will not house train him.
If you want to housetrain him so he can be a part of your life again, you first need to get ALL trace of the smells out of your house or he'll just go back to those areas.
Then what you need to do while you're re-training him is keep him in the same room you're in so you can watch him. When he shows signs of restlessness, circling, or whatever signals he gives, take him outside. You need to go out with him, tell him "go pee" and the very second he pees you give him lots and lots of praise then come right back in. This way he learns to differentiate between play time outside and potty time.
Dogs learn very quickly with positive reinforcement for correct behaviour, and this is an adult who has bladder control so it should be really quick. Labs are also a breed who really strive to please so it should be easy. By not letting him make a mistake, you don't need to give corrections and dogs do not learn through negative results. Be very consistent with him and you should have a companion again in no time.

No it will not. The bad habit has already been set, neutering him will not fix this. Training however will fix it. The fact that you just stuck him outside reinforced his bad behavior, which was caused by an insecurity. The reason he started urinating in the first place is because he was insecure about having the new baby around. What he needed was more love, training and reassurance at the time. I realize that with a new baby that is hard to do. At this point it is going to take a lot of patience and training to house break him again.

At the age of 6 the dog should have been neutered, but yes, maybe that will help him stop. It seems that the dog is feeling a bit jealous of the new baby and he is acting up by urinating inside the house.

NO, it is too late for that mentod.
You may want to talk to your local vet or pet store. The dog was the baby in the house and is now feeling left out - literally by the sounds of it.
Obediance training, electric collor, snappy trap placed in strategic locations are several methods that are needed now. Showing him that you still love him should also go a long way to help.
BTY - what do you think might happen with your real child in about six years if you have another child?

Neutering him may not stop this problem. It sounds more behavior realted to your having a baby. This has disrupted the home and brought a new something into the home which requires lots of attention which he used to get more of he is not happy with the new situation.
Your should work with a behavioral trainer to solve the problem.
Getting him neutered would be better for his health and may help with the issue but a quick visit with a trainer may help more.

Six years? No, it won't help, it should have been done when he was a puppy.
He is jealous and resents the baby. Leaving him outside all the time is only making it worse, now you have a new baby and have kicked him out. Is this the way you would like to be treated?
Bring him in and show him a lot of love and affection, not anger and rejection. Then it will stop.

Male dogs mark their territories with pee, he probably thinks the babies an intruder and is making sure he's still the boss.
When he pee's in the house rub his nose in it and whack him.
He'll soon learn.
(P.S. Neutered dogs mark their territories everywhere as well.)

No . you have to pay lots of attention to him .before you had the baby there was just him and you .He misses that and being neutered does not change that fact .He may have bigger things going on in his head talk to your vet.

No, it will not make him stop pissing in the house. You should try to train him or get a trainer for the dog.

Probably not, Hes pissed off at you cause you don't pay attention to him anymore.
I would be careful period of labs because they can turn on you, but black labs are less likely
usually chocolate ones are crazy
