It looks as if the US is initiating electronic border monitoring at the US / Canada border. No longer can we say, "we have the world's longest undefended border."

What's next, barbed wire, guard towers?

Most Canadians seem to dislike this change in the way things have always been done, but as a Canadian, I like the idea it will be harder for some people to enter my country, whether from the US or elsewhere. It will have a cost in tourism for short time, but so what! There is probably more of a threat to most of our safety from bad-a*s dudes from the US than from anywhere else.

How about packs of rabid horny specially-bred pit bulls? LOL

Actually, how about no-BS well-considered border enforcement.
End the drugs, end the human trafficking, end the jobsite fraud and probably most of the ID theft, and legal immigration ONLY.

The first part of the US/Mexico border fence looks like it's going to be built...unless the Senate steps on it, or it gets vetoed. Barring either of those, there'll be 700 miles, of 'no entrada, por favor', and e-fencing in many other places, but probably more real fencing, too.

Well we've got to start somewhere. I'm stoked about it, but I'd rather set up tesla coils and a 15 foot wall of concrete topped off with an electric fence and razor wire. Automatic rifles would be a good thing to have too.

in case you're taking a examine out the neocons (and democrats) who help stricter border controls, they arrive from states bordering Mexico (the place there's a genuine difficulty). no longer lots of them actual help ultimate the border with Canada as there is quite no could desire to. i does no longer hassle too lots, it may harm them (the US) as much because it may harm us.
