I was prescribed Bactrim for an UTI I was wondering how common is a skin rash was from this medication?

im allergic to Bactrim. thats what happened to me, itchy rash. check with ur doctor.

Bactrim is a powerful antibiotic, and thus it has some pretty nasty side effects:

it is not uncommon for someone to develop an allergy to an antibiotic, actually it does happen quite frequently, see ur doctor and ask him to prescribe somthing different, tell him about ur rash and he'll help u out. good luck

wind pipe swelling can be allergic reaction. if you have trouble breathing, go to ER. If you develop a rash, call your doctor. If you get nauseous, take the pill with food.
