a 14 year old girl should be a little bit chubby. Don't listen to what Seventeen magazine tells you. There are developmental processes happening in your body right now that NEED a little bit of extra. Ranging from the development of yur breasts and your reproductive system to the amount of minerals that your body stores in yur bones. Don't try to be skinny at this point in your life. If you want to do it later when you are fully developed then go ahead, but for now it's better to think of what you can GIVE to your body and not what it has in excess. Eat well, get excercise and enough rest, be happy, and depending on your body I would say that 150 lbs may not be too much. On the other end of the scale, unless you're really tiny you should have probably cracked 100 lbs by now.

If you click on the link below and use the child/teen BMI (body mass index) Calculator it will tell you if you are at a healthy weight or if you need to lose or gain or if you are at risk of being overweight. Just to see, I put in your age and height and 120 pounds and then 140 pounds. Both of those figures came up as healthy weights. That is just two examples though, you should put in your own weight and see. I never picked a weight that said it was too high or too low. Try it.

I work at a High School and most 14 year old girls at 5'5" are anywhere between 105-120 lbs. At 14 I weighed about 120 lbs.

for 5'5 is its around 130-140..... don't listen to those other people who say 110 120. those are average weight for super skinny people that height as you get older the average weigh will be 150.

I'm sure you are fine the way you are. everybody is created differently b/c we all posses different qualities of value. Don't kill yourself to be to thin it will lead to much more serious problems as you get older.

Well, the rule of thumbs for an adult female is 100 pounds for the first five feet, and then 5 pounds for every extra inch. So around 125, but then you're still young, so if your under, or over that now, I wouldn't worry much.

I guess it depends. I'm 14 and 5'3 and weight 126, and I look thin. Not to be saying anything arrogant, but I look about average weighing 126. I think you should weigh 130.

IT DEPENDS ON YOUR BUILD. ARE YOUR SHOULDERS WIDE OR NARROW? DO YOU HAVE A THICK OR THIN FRAME? DON'T LET MAJORITY TELL YOU A CERTIN # IN LBS. IF YOUR PANTSIZE IS UNDER A SIZE 9 U SHOULD BE OK. I'M 5'3 AND 140LBS, BUT I HAVE HUGE BOOBS AND HIPS&MUSCLES... NOT FAT AT ALL. I WEAR A SIZE 7-8 BUT ACCORDING TO CHARTS I SHOULD BE 125- IF I WAS 125 I WOULD LOOK LIKE A DOPE FIENE.FIND WHAT U CAN BE HAPPY WITH AND FORGET EVERYONE'S OPINION.
