I didn't need evidence.

I am a Christian by faith.....

But here is an interesting piece of actual fossil evidence. There are petrified trees standing in layers of rock. Geoligists will date each layer of these rocks as thousands of years old. Could it be that there is a fallacy in the science of how they date rocks? How could a tree stand for thousands of years while rock layers build up around it. The tree would have long rotten away.

Ken Hamm is a creationist scientist. He has a web site you might find interesting. There is an explanation (theory) for this tree... Take a large flood and sediment over months (not thousands upon thousands of years) forms up the base of the trunk. Eventually the water recedes but the mud around the trunk turns to rock. My friend, there is modern day evidence to show exactly how this happened. After Mt. St Helens erupted there were thousands of trees blown into a lake... The trees eventually sunk straight down to the bottom of the lake and sediment started building up the base.

Also do you realize the great Pyramid in Eygpt has a "salt line" both on the outside and inside about 250 feet high which is about 400 feet above the Nile River. It is true, this information can be looked up. Also there are sea shells deposits inside the great pyramid at this level. After the 40 days and 40 nights of waters coming up from below the earth and raining down from above, it took almost 6 months for the waters to recede. The water would have gone down in stages. My friend, please explain how come seashell deposits made their way 250 feet high inside the great pyramid? This is the greatest evidence available that the pyramids were built before the flood of Noah.

You sound like an intelligent guy. This is pretty solid evidence I have presented. Analytically, I would like to see someone explain this "salt line" on the inside and outside of the pyramid. The only feasible solution is that the Flood of Noah did occur.

Maybe if one day they find the actual ark of Noah on the top of Mt. Arat you might consider believing? You see my friend, the only reason Noah built the Ark was because God told him to. Every body "mocked" noah for building such a large "barge" like boat on dry land... Every single culture, the Mayans, the Aborigine's etc have a "flood" story as a part of their ancient history.

Coincedence? I dont think. I believe by faith in God and the Bible and Jesus is the Son of God... Please read the Gospel of John.. The miracles of Jesus gives me faith to believe. Please consider the gospel of John was written by the eyewitness account of the Disciple John. By a commentary as you read this gospel. Please keep an open mind... There is evidence such as I offered above to support God's word the bible.

Take care and God Bless you.

God is an affectionate God. When you develop a close relationship to the Lord you can ask anything and He'll answer. God talks to believers on a daily basis. When you reach that level of intimacy with God, you read the Bible in a "new" way. It's kind hard to explain, only being a believer to understand.

First, I should say I am not a creationist, that is to say I do not believe verbatim that the biblical story of creation is what really happened, however I do very strongly believe that through man God told us the stories He wanted us to know and to learn from and to get guidance from.
I was convinced by reading it and by having a relationship with Him.

I felt his spirit tugging on my soul. I know that's vague, but it is the best way that I can describe it.

Since God requires faith, then there will never be any conclusive evidence of God's existence because that would do away with faith. Faith is based on probabilities, not certainties.

I like this question. For the ones who were brought up in Christianity, they have either never questioned why they believe or they believe for the same reason that those who weren't brought up in it believe. Those who weren't brought up in the church believe because it gives them a good feeling inside when they are praying and they feel like part of something. They think this feeling is something spiritual.

The bible is the work of idiots not God. Jesus was long dead before the bible was even around. Why are there two bibles. One the old testament, one the new testament. It is a way for scholars to get their two cents in and be heard. Nothing in the bible is to be taken at face value.
