OK. This is my second year with my science teacher Mr. K. He was teaching for the first week of school. He had recently had a disc from his back removed. Now, he has been gone three weeks--we've had a sub. We assumed there were complications. Also, we thought he may have had knee surgery because he said his knee was bothering him. My mom called him yesterday....and he has cancer. Cancer. Either liver or kidney, i dont remember. he had multiple surgeries to remove cancerous lumps all over his body---He discovered the cancer from his knee. thats why it was hurting. MR. K is such a smart guy, and devotes his time to the kids at my school. He will have to go through chemotherapy. No one in my school knows that he has cancer, but me.

I would have your Mom talk to whoever she knows that might know how your teacher feels about the other students knowing, then you could all send him a get well card of some sort. Also, now would be a good time for you to write him a letter and tell him what a great teacher you think he is, and how much you have learned in his class. Tell him you miss him. You don't want to take a chance that you won't see him again and regret never telling him what a great teacher you think he is.

That's really sad for Mr. K. Send up some prayers for him and keep this secret in confidence out of respect for him. If you think it's acceptable, send Mr. K a card telling him how much he means to you and wishing him well. I'm sure it will brighten his day.

I dont imagine its bipolar like many are announcing. Bipolar has highs and lows (mania and melancholy). An episode of mania or melancholy can very last months, yet doesnt decision interior minutes or hours. must be an imbalance brought about by making use of hormones and/or weightloss plan. there are a approach of factors to think about with a view to ascertain what precisely is inaccurate. acceptable aspect to do is communicate on your clinical specialist and word what he/she exhibits.

If you are trying to decide whether or not to tell the people at school you should really let the administration do that when it is time. Rumors can create more problems and cause your ill teacher unecessary stress and he has enough to deal with. Support him and comfort him and his family as much as you can.

Why don't you and some of your friends get together and make him (don't buy it - make it) a "miss you, get well soon" card for him. Say why you miss him, and what he means to you.

Take it to the school office, and ask them to have it delivered for you.

I bet it would mean the world to him!

I'm glad you indulged your need to TELL SOMEONE here online instead of being the one to spread it all around school. It would be nice to let him be in control of who is told when.

Not to be mean, but you're not asking a question or for advice. You're just telling a story.
