Many agnostics here on YA. This is the new breed, need to see things to believe. Don't get good breaks. Life's a beach. Parents divorced. Jobs don't pay squat. So, why believe in God?

They go through life believing all they can see, and nothing else.

Little they know that all that mankind builds turns to dust.

Only faith and love are eternal.

So, when the time comes for them to go, are they going to Heaven?

If not Heaven, then where? Purgatory? I hate to mention that other place.

Okay, I lit a firecracker here. That's good. That's healthy. Good, healthy discussion among friends.

May I remind you that some of the worst sinners (I'm not a Know-it-all, but I've been told that all degrees of sin is still sin, and I don't buy that), once they find God and show repentence, the doors swing wide open.

Pope John Paul 11 once said that we should open up all the doors in all the churches, open up all the windows, and let the Holy spirit come in. And yet, the doors are sealed shut as I write.

Now, with creeps lurking, we are told to watch this, shut that, lock the door, and now we live in fear...and for what?

I believe Pope John Paul 11 was right!

Only God is the Judge..we do not know this. We can only life out our life on earth as best (or worst if ppl chose to) we can.
Revelation 22:12 says" "Behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give "EVERY" man according as his work shall be". MEANING> God we give according good/or bad to how we lived our lives on earth. Only God knows and he is judge.

There is no such place as purgatory either, or limbo. ok. Rest assure that when you die you don't have to worry about going straight to heaven or hell right after death..why. Here is why>>

What happens when a person dies?
"Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was; and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it". Ecclesiastes 12:7
The body turns to dust again and the spirit goes back to God who gave it. The spirit of every person who dies (weather good or bad) returns to God.

What is the "spirit" that returns to God at death?
"The body without the spirit (breath) is dead" James 2:26
"The spirit of God is in my nostrils". Job 27:3
The spirit that returns to God at death is the breath of life. NOWHERE in all of God's book does the "spirit" have any life, wisdom or feeling after a person dies. It is the breath of life and nothing more.

What is a soul?
"And the Lord God formed man of of dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul." Genesis 2:7 (A soul is a living soul)

Do good people go to heaven when they die?
"ALL that are in the graves shall hear his voice, and shall come forth." John 5:28
"David is both DEAD and BURIED and his sepulchre is with us TODAY"." For David is NOT acended into the heavens." Acts 2: 29, 34
No, people do NOT go either to heaven or hell at death. They go to their graves to await the reurrection day.

How much does one comprehend or know after death?
"The living know that they shall die: but the DEAD KNOW NOT ANYTHING". Ecclesiates 9:5
"The dead praise NOT the Lord". Pslam 115: 17

But can't the dead commicate with the living?
"So the lieth down, and riseth not: till the heavens be no more, they shall NOT awake, nor be raised out of their sleep." Job 14: 12
"Neither have they anymore a portion forever that is done under the sun." Ecclesiastes 9:6
No, the dead can not cantact the living, nor do they know what they are doing. They are dead. There thoughts are perished (Psalm 146:4)

The reason they are in their graves is because well 1- The Bible says so and 2-the remember the "resurrection? And the 2nd coming of Christ? Think about it? If we are "suppose to be in heaven...what would be the purpose of a resurrestion? Hmmm? Allot of people think they are in heaven already or hell or whever. If they are say...in heaven. That would be cruel to yank them back out of heaven and put them back into their grave only to raise them again. RIGHT? Well, it doesn't happen that way.
WE don't go to heaven or hell when we die.

"Behold, I come quicklyl and my reward is with me to give every man according as his work shall be." Relelation 22:12
"The Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with a voice of the arch angel, with a trump of God, and the dead and Christ shall rise first, and so shall we forever be with the Lord. 1 Thess. 4: 16

I hope this helps to explain to you and maybe others as well. I study religion and a degree in it.

Leo Lion. I am a Christian, although I rarely attend church myself I read the Bible and spread the word of God in my own way. I find the best way is not to impose on other people but ask them what they feel about these topics and then share how you feel. Nothing more is needed to be done. You don't have to impose the word of God to spread the word of God. In my own studies of the Bible; I find the answer to your question to be a Yes! Only the Righteous go to Heaven and those that are of Righteousness are of God. The Bible says that " no one can get to my father except through me- Jesus". So even a non-believer CAN enter heaven if he accepts Jesus. I don't take this as while we are alive or living on earth to do this. It does not say we must have Faith to get to Heaven its says we cannot get to the father without the son.

God will pick those that don't have the mark of the beast.

A Christian COULD have the mark. An atheist could not.

Both are God's children, but if one is blemished and the other isn't you don't mix the blemished on into the barrel.

Getting in to heaven not like getting back to Kansas. You don't just click your heels together.

There is no secret hand shake.

No decoder ring.

Anyone can find their way into God's good grace, even if they don't expect it. In fact, they stand the best chance for they did what is right, without doing it out of fear or for some reward someone told you that you'd get. The just did it naturally.

This is not a 'opinion' based answer. God's word says that the only way to God (heaven) is through Jesus Christ, John 14:6 says Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."

Without the saving grace that comes from accepting Jesus as your savior, your sins are not forgiven and therefore, you cannot enter heaven. And there is only one other place...and that is not purgatory.

Which heaven? Ahh, you probably did not understand? it really is the concern with Christianity, they do no longer understand both. anybody, even with theory arrives interior the subsequent realm, right this moment after demise. right away, and not using a pause. yet, regrettably very few ever locate the way out of THAT realm. it really is because we've not recorded appropriately what Jesus taught, and too a lot of human beings received't supply up their fake beliefs. Even atheists at the prompt are not inevitably open minded to those products. the in worry-free words those who will truly locate the way, are the actually curious.

There are only two places to go. Heaven or Hell. The only way to heaven is through Jesus Christ. The reasons people go through tough times is because of sin in the world. God is waiting on all of us to turn to Him, and He will help us. Even when you become a Christian, life is still going to have trials and tribulations, and that is what draws us closer to Him. That is when people are watching the Christians to see how they react. I have been a Christian for over 30 years. I am not perfect, but I am forgiven. Life has not been easy, but I know who is taking care of me, and that is Jesus.

OK lets start by saying if you do believe in god then you most likely believe in heaven and heck. with that said if you do think like that then the answer to this question is a maybe because if god does exist then shouldn't he decide. We really won't know whats after death until we're dead and by then its to late to really tell anyone.

this question can only be answered by what people think and that can vary allot

My belief is that God is way more compassionate than we think he is and I think if a non believer lived a good life, loved others and was compassionate they will spend eternity in heaven with God who only asks that we live as His Son Jesus Christ lived with compassion and forgiveness of others.

Mr. Know - at - all . Every one goes to heaven. We do not believe in that religiose non-sense about Heaven, Hell. Heck after all these many religion's out there, and different believes, perhaps we are all wrong.
So for my own sake, since I m not a franatic about God, Heaven, Hell, yes I will go to heaven.
Since my first name is Angelika and Angelika translates to "Angel like" I have been also baptized three times in my life, see there is a place for every one like my self in heaven. Does this answer your question?

If you don't like God, because you blame him for your life, then why would you want to go to Heaven to live with this God that you hate? Does that even make sense?
