...to get Christians to finally leave them alone and stop trying to save them?

Don't tell me they'd have to agree to be saved; don't tell me they'd have to accept Jesus as the savior...what ELSE could these people do or say to get you to back down, get off their doorsteps, and leave them alone?

There is absolutely nothing you can do to achieve that. Those people have no repect for others, and any level of courtesy is too much to ask. Sad, but a fact of life.

Nothing, can't be done. The non-religious ahve been trying to get the believers to leave them be since ten minutes after the first shaman had a revelation. They are probably so dogged because it tends to work. People see their "determination" and think "Gee, if they beleive so strongly, maybe there is something to what they're saying."

maybe we can answer the questions or statements with equally appalling logic and circular reasoning

God, is God

Because I said so

because my guru told me

because it was what was not edited in the bible

because I feel like it

tell them you are saved and one of them, and give proofless yak to show them how mindless you are so they think you're crazy and leave you be

tell them you believe that accepting Jesus as personal savior and lord, to you, means showing love and being the miracle like the person in the stories, and using principles of social justice and compassion as a fundament to live by -Jesus is Law, etc

there two young men use to frequent my house trying to convert me, they were cute so I humored them the first time not realizing they would actually keep coming back. One day I just happened to be getting out of the shower and they knocked on my door, so instead of rushing to get dressed I threw on a towel. They were both virgins because they were not married and were completely horrified when I came to the door, but soon got use to it and tried to do their "job" anyway. So I sat and argued with them for a bit waiting for replies but not getting any, so I finally told them to leave
and to please not come back. They did and it only took 30 minutes compared to the 3 hours they had sat the last 14 times.

I don't know about any other Christians, but a simple "I'm not interested" will do it for me. Please be polite, and I will accord you the same courtesy.
As far as I can tell, my job is to tell people who don't know about Him, and who want to hear, not keep repeating the same old news to people who have already rejected it and really aren't interested. That just seems like a colossal waste of time to me, when there are people out there who are interested and who do want to know more.
I do hope they don't mind that I pray for them, though.

Some will respect our desire to be left to our own beliefs. Some no matter what you say will because even though they 'hear', they refuse to 'listen'.

Nothing. Christians are told in the Bible to spread the good word. So, I don't think you are going to be left alone any time soon.

I once blasted "Blue Monday" by Orgy and then answered the door screaming "ATHEIST!!!!!"

They didn't visit again.
