Maybe that is why an occasional plane crashes unexpectively.

Pilots are aware of this issue, while some passengers aren't. Pilots are probably at risk just as us passengers are, but they know how to prevent it and have the ability to. That can stand up and walk around their cockpit and let their co-pilot take care of the plane for a bit to lower the risks of DVT. I'm sure pilots who are medically prone to blood clots may take blood thinners to lower the risks as well. Us as passengers cannot walk around the plane a whole lot to reduce this risk, since it is a security issue. Changing the positions of your legs and body during the flight help to lower the risk. Pilots have probably been trained in ways to prevent this medical issue.

Pilots can also get these...there is one big difference though....their bodies are used to it. I would also imagine that they take precautions to prevent it. And on a long flight a pilot does not sit the entire time...he gets to take breaks too and get up and move around (that's why there are 2 of them and auto pilot)

pilots are not from the planet earth, they are from zergarossa, a planet in the seventh horizon, twice reomved from our solar system and second on the left past kwicksave supermarket, they arrive here already trained to fly, often without a plane. they are very different under their clothes, for they have no genitals or orifices as we have. they reproduce by way of putting their little finger in their left ear and shaking it about.
all from the planet zergarossa are neither male nor female. but merely vessells with a head, two arms and two legs.
Most are amazingly rich and all speak very good english as they watch the BBC foreign service on their planet as its the only one which transmits that far.
They are born as adults and gradually become children.
now stop asking such silly questions and eat your cornflakes like a good person.

I would suggest that you simply never hear about it ..... and any symptoms of that in flight crew and they are probably grounded ... fast!
