You could try some after-surgery scar reducer cream or gel. Like Mederma is one brand I can think of right off--but I think they make generic brands of the same thing. You could try using cocoa butter, or anything with Vitamin E in it.

Bio-oil is good, i recommend it to women who want to reduce the appearance of stretch marks. Its about £9 a go, but I get alot of women say it works really well. Its designed for stretch marks and scars, so might be worth a go. You can get it in any pharmacy.
Talk to your GP and tell him how much this is affecting you, he may be able to prescribe a cream which is used to cover up scars and marks, but its quite expensive, your GP may not want to fund the cost.
There is also laser treatment as an option, or as you say a tattoo - just make sure you go to a good one thats got a well-known reputation as you will want the tattooist to be honest as to whether he can cover the scars ok, or just make it look worse.

Depends how serious or big the scar is, bio-oil is supposed to help scars, but it takes time for the scar to go when using bio-oil, it may take months, it's worth a try though.

You could get a tattoo to cover it. If anyone asks about your 3 scars just tell them a cat or tiger scratched you. It's what i've done. Would a thick bangle of some sort cover them?

You could have plastic surgery, depending on how bad the scar/s are. You should discuss this option with your doctor.

Are you kidding!?! You think getting a tattoo is going to make it less noticable?!? That's only going to make people look even harder! You'd better go talk to a dermatologist.
