It's not an apology to say "I'm sorry you were upset with me" which is exactly what he did.
This is just another attempt to demonize Muslims. ....... 'everything Muhammad brought was evil and inhuman'....... ok, he is plainly an enemy to the religion.
If he thinks he needs to "change" it by preaching to THE RELIGION to become non-violent, he clearly has Islamaphobia and the only cure for that is knowledge.
How dare he say our religion was spread by Prophet Muhammad, sallallahu aleihi wa salam, via violence and please stop the violence.
Sure, there are violent Muslims. But don't attack the religion, and our Prophet brought us the religion, and worse of all, it's a lie. Boy, some people just believe whatever they want to believe, don't they!

yes he has. man of his stature should have been more carefull. even GWB didn't do that blunder.
ones freedoms finish where others rights start.
what Muslims gave to world? go and see why your history books conveniently omit 8th,9th and 10th century. because thats when Muslims were giving things to world which are the basis of Renaissance.
Christians were still lashing people for taking bath more than once a week. and pope was writing letters to deceased giving referrals for ST. Paul to let them in heaven for a silver coin each.
i can really see who has what vision here.
just for ones filled with hate its on TV (your god) there are more Muslims in America than Jews. :)

Based on the history of the christian church and the horrors and wars it created the Pope can never never ever apologise enough.

No apology was necessary and any rationally thinking person would have understood his point after reading the entire transcript, not taking a quote totally out of context. By kowtowing to the Muslim over-reaction we are losing the right to free speech. this is not good.

i think that the Pope had every right to say what he did, and sometimes the truth is a bit harsh to take in the light of day -- especially when your vision/perspective is skewed by all the finger pointing and shaking of fists. Yes, he's apologized enough -- and i think Secretary Donald needs to send a few contrails of prozac over the malcontents to calm them all down.

he shouldn't appologize. who cares what the muslims think. How about all the people they killed on 911 think. The muslims what you dead or converted, we can say we don't want that, they have killed and destroyed for over, 1500 years. What have they given the world other than blood shed.
