I'm looking to stay in Waikiki for about a week and I'm looking for a nice hotel that is conveniently located so that I can walk to the beach/restaurants, etc. I heard there's some construction going on in Waikiki right now, so if anyone has the latest info, that's be great. Thanks!

I have been to Wikiki 2ce. First time I stayed at the Royal Hawwain, its verrrry nice and its right on the beach. Just in August though, I stayed in Wikiki Shores. They are condos. Condos are verrrry nice to stay in at Hawaii because food is so darn expencive, and so you can just make your own and have a picnic or sumthing. (I bag of goldfish costed 5.75!) There is alot of construction going on, and it looks reeeally bad. First time I went, it was beautiful, but recently....ew. Also, go back in like 7years bc it will be sooo pretty!!! (Also, go to the beach rite in front of the Royal hawaiin bc all the others the sand isnt nice!!!!

haaaaaaaaaaave a BLAST!

i just returned from my sixth visit to Oahu, and my fourth stay at the Pacific Beach Hotel. It is right across the street from Kuhio Beach (part of Waikiki Beach going "Diamond Head"). It is right across the street from Cheeseburger in Paradise (not to be confused with Cheeseburger Waikiki going "Ewa"). It is close to restaurants, and has three in the hotel!! We usually stay in the Oceanarium Tower that has the largest indoor "aquarium" in the world!! The Oceanarium Restaurant has a really good breakfast buffet and you can watch the fish as you eat!!

You should check out the Ohana Waikiki Beachcomber. It's located right across the street from the beach and it's in the middle of town so it's close to everything you would want to do.

When I was there I stayed at "Halekulani Hotel". Superb services and the hotel premise just right there on the beach. Free admission to Oahu's leading arts and cultural offering including the Honolulu symphony, the Honolulu Academy of Arts, the contemporary Museum, Bishop Museum and Lolani Palace as the complementary to guests. Every room received the welcome bowl of fresh fruit and chocolates, free daily newspaper, no charge for local phone calls. All guests are invited to the Managers' Cocktail Reception on Wednesday. ....very good grubs too.... Have a good time!

The Outrigger Reef On The Beach is a really good one.
Most of the rooms face the ocean, they have an excellant restaurant, and you are within a few minutes walk of any activity you could think of.
We had a 1 br. suite with a private balcony, it was awesome.
