Im 19 yrs old and i've been talkin to this guy (he's 19 also) over the internet for 3 years next month. We wanna meet next summer for the 4th try. Everytime we try something happens and the ticket is wasted. We were talkin last night and he wants me come alone to the airport but one of my friends said i should let my parents go. Should we try to meet and keep trying? Do you think it would work out? Should i go alone or bring a friend or parent w/ me?

I think it is very weird that you have been in contact now for 3 years over the internet and now he wants to meet you alone. Do you only know this guy over the internet though emails and that is it? Do not go alone. You need to bring a friend or parent with you. Also, remember, just because you think you know him, if you have only been in contact through the internet, you don't really know him. If you are interested in him for a long distance relationship as a boyfriend, these relationships rarely work out.

Can you clarify what you mean by something comes up? Out of context, that sounds a bit sketchy. I'm not saying there haven't been legitimate reasons but what's been coming up and for who?

Are you sure he's 19? Have you exchanged pictures, that he didn't pull off the internet?

Why does he want you to come alone? I know it's hard to meet the parents for the first time, but he should be understanding of what a big deal it is for your parents to entrust their daughter to someone they've, and she's, never met.

Bring a friend, have them take their own car, and stand away from you. That way you are " alone" but not alone. This way if anything happens you have someone to help you, and if you're ok, then make up a signal to motion to your friend so you guys can go your seperate ways! Have fun!

You're of legal age, so its fine. Bring a couple of friends with you to be safe---dont go alone, just in case. Hope it works out.

so i would take someone with me.
i wouldnt take my mom or dad.
