No you cannot have tummy tuck on the NHS. That comes under cosmetic surgery, which NHS does not pay for, unless it is somehow seriously endangering your health.

Hi ReillyBird,
Unfortunately, it's extremely unlikely you'd be able to get a tummy tuck on the NHS. If you could, the queue would stretch for miles - because a baggy stomach is a common problem after having children.
The first person to talk to is your GP. They'll be able to explain a bit more about what could be done, and refer you to a good surgeon.
The operation isn't cheap and, of course, carries substantial risks, ranging from complications of the anaesthetic, to haemorrhage and infection.
By the way, a tummy tuck is not an alternative to losing weight...
Cheers,

No i don't think so the NHS will not fund this unless the person is really obese and has lost a lot of weight and it is causing mental health problems they wont provide it for vanity reasons for those of us who want tummy tucks we have to pay!!!!
(NHS is national health service in the UK)

I posted this same question on here about a month ago - and nobody said yes.
I was told in hospital when I was having my first child by c/s, that was 6 years ago, I am wondering if policy has changed.
I hope not, I want another baby, it will need to be c/s and I want a tummy tuck!

Get tummy tuck surgery in India. Cosmetic Surgery is very cheap in India. There is one company that is very famous in India that arranges cosmetic surgery for foreigners in India. They are called the Forerunners Healthcare. I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories.
I have also read that they arrange financing for American and Canadian patients, as cosmetic surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. The cost savings are incredible. As a doctor I personally believe that your cosmetic surgery can be easily handled in India, as the quality of healthcare available here is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.
My cousin got a couple of cosmetic surgery procedures in India like the breast reduction, tummy tuck and facelift through the forerunners healthcare. She is more than very happy with the results. She just paid 30% of the amount she was quoted in USA and is all praise for this forerunners healthcare company. I personally have seen the wonderful results and am particularly impressed with the kind of quality care she got from this company. I hope this helps.

surely thats not true. Is it? this would come under cosmetic surgery as it does not have any risks to your health. And what if you asked for a c section then it would be your own fault! anyway it doesnt really do much to your tummy, it only leaves a scar. My cousin has had 5 c sections now and her tummy is flat. Its called healthy eating and excercise

No, but is it worth it? What do you have to do to get a nose job on the NHS?
