Im 25yrs old in good health.. my hair is falling out and it has been for 3yrs already? I advised with my doctor and all she said was its stress? I dont think she even knew? My hair is thick and Im not balding but my hair falls out way way way to much! its all over the place. And no dont mean acouple of strands! Its alot of hair...balls of hair !!! its all over my chair at work on my clothes....in my car in the restroom its all over. If I slightly pull my hair I would honestly pull about about 10+strands! I eat right I take vitamins and I dont do drugs. Its very scary because I think Im going to get BALD soon? My friends notice it my boyfriend does too. ITs something my peers notice because its that much!! Could it really be stress? I do have anxiety and I tend to worry and stress about everything but could that be the cause? HELP !!!

GNC has a supplement called "Nourishair" that makes the hair grow faster, you can read what's in it by googling it. Be warned these pills are HUGE and you have to take 2 a day.
Also ProCaps labs sells a "hair skin and nails" formula that does the same thing, supports hair growth and health, and is smaller and easier to swallow.
If you take only Biotin alone, make sure you take at least 2.5 milligrams or 2500 micrograms [the same thing] a day because thats' a good amount to take. I use the Nourshair supplement from GNC now and my hair is growing faster than it did, but it took about 6 to 8 weeks of daily use to see results

Well, if it is stress, worrying over it is probably making it fall in sheets, eh? Even if it isn't stress, don't worry about things so much, stress effects other things. Maybe a joke would help cheer you up. Remember the Reader's Digest finish the joke from last year, "What do elephants and tomato's have in common?" Well the response we sent in was "They're both red when peeled." Hehehehehehehehe, isn't that a riot? I don't get how we didn't hear from them back. I think there was supposed to be a $100 prize. Anyway, I'm really sorry about the hair. I alwasy buzz mine off, maybe that'd help? Then there wouldln't be as much pull on the folicals. Or maybe that's really bad logic.......It could be hereditary. I know people who had white hair by 30, and other's who hardly have it at 60. It's hard to tell. Have a good one.

I'm more youthful than you and i lose hairs like that all the time. Your hair is made from useless cells, and the fall out mostly. Simply since some fall out everyday doesn't mean you are going bald. So, i would say what you are going through is perfectly average.

Honey you need to get to a doctor and have your hormonal levels checked out seriously. You could have an underlying medical condition you dont know about. Yes its true that stress will make your hair fall out, some medications you may take and also if you are dieting and then throwing up not that you are doing this ok i am using these as some examples and causes of what can make your hair fall out. My hair is thick and it falls out too but not to the point that yours is. You have something going on and you need a second opinion. Anytime you have your hair falling out at that rate its something going on in your body. Having a infection can cause your hair to fall out. One good thing i have found over the counter to reduce stress and lose weight is relacore. Another medicine but its prescription is zoloft is wonderful for reducing stress. I realize we all have stress but remember this you cannot take care of everything only worry about the things you can control and change. Sometimes its important to let go of things that is not in your control. All worrying is going to do to you is p ut you in the hospital or cause death and that is something you dont want. My prescription for problems is let them go control the ones you can do what you can if someone is bothering you tell them to kiss off you would be amazed how you will feel when you take control of your life. If have a bad job and you are not happy change it. Find out what is causing you stress then get rid of it. Thats like when people bother me that i dont like such as my dad and my boss lady i just refuse to talk to them and i walk away my boss lady knows when she pisses me off its best to leave well enough alone. My dad found that out too i dont play games when someone does that to me. When i dont talk to those that make me mad my life is so much better....lol you will be ok just promise me you will get to the right doctor ok...

Okay, first of all, it's perfectly normal to lose up to _200_ hairs a day, and when your hair is long that looks like a hell of a lot! My friends always complain about finding my hair on their furniture, and in their socks. If your hair is actually thinning on your scalp, rather than just shedding on the furniture, then you definitely need to get checked out by a doctor. Some contraceptive pills can cause hair loss, as can other hormone imbalances and stress.

Have your thyroid checked. It could also just be the stress as stress affects alot of you body organs too, so get a grip on the stress and have the thyroid checked just to be sure.

More than likely, it is stress. Try going to a different doctor or to the same one, and seeing if they can give you something that would help.

Go to a different doctor. My guess was maybe you're not getting enough nutrients. My hair fell out in clumps like that when I was anorexic, but it sounds like you're getting enough to eat. GO to a different doctor or a specialist. Keep going until someone can tell you what's up!

It could be stress. It could be hypothyroidism. It could be alopecia. The best thing to do is to seek another opinion. Whatever it's cause, it's not normal to lose hair at the rate you describe.

Try not eating so much protein. This happens with low carb diets. It could be stress, but you have to remember that we do shed our hair.
