Im going to go my hair professionally dyed tomorrow. So... I have a question for all you hair genuises.
First off: How long will it take before I have to like redye my hair? I mean, when the roots are like 1.5" showing or something? Do you know on average?

Secondly: Is there a place where I can look at hair colors before I go to the salon- just so that I know ahead of time?

Lastly: Does dying your hair make it look greasy or any bad side effects?

Thank you.

1->Every other 5 - 6 months you can re-dye ALL the hair. The roots, you can retouch them whenever you feel that they're showing too much. (every few weeks)

2->Only if you dye your hair too often, it will be damaged (depending on hair, it can get dryer, thin out, etc). I doubt it will get greasy, tough. That only happens if you wash your hair too often (more than twice a week).

3->Here's some websites on tips for hair colors/skin type and where you could check out different colors:

Normally you shouldnt die your hair for at least one month after you do it the first time. secondly you can go to your local drug store and look at the different colors (they have a bunch) if you see a color you like write it down and ask your stylist if they have that color or one similar and lastly it wont make your hair look greasy just follow all directions givin by your stylist

Dyeing your hair again will be needed in 10 to 30 days. It depends on how fast your hair grows (and, if you have grey in your hair, how fast the color fades out).

Having the "roots show" is usually enough right there for you to want having it redone.

God made you the way you are, why change it?

Okay to answer one of your questions after just a few weeks (depending on how fast your hair grows) you may start to see roots that's when you go in and get a touch up.

Good luck!
