I sincerely doubt that. Perhaps one time a rat could have made its way into a pepper supply and left some feces. A few times this happened with coffee. It certainly is not a regular ingredient of pepper, and I would imagine a rat would not want to stay around pepper as it would irritate them.

One of the bad things about processed food is that it comes from a huge warehouses and processing plants where things happen. Because so many things happen there is an allowable amount of "things" in our processed foods. Welcome to the big city. You could try to grow your own.
