What if human sperm was put inside a female chimpanzee and she got pregnant and a human/chimp hybrid was born? I mean tigers and lions can have offspring and so can donkeys and horses. Would this change any Christian's mind on the subject of creation? Don't tell me that it would never happen. I just want to hear how you would react if it did.

I just started reading about Humanzees on wikipedia. It's pretty interesting stuff. Lions and tigers are more different genetically than are humans and chimps, so I think it could work. Maybe not on the first try, but maybe after many many tries. Any female want to be a test subjects and have a chimp's baby?

Man, you would never convince these people to believe otherwise. Humans and chimps are evolutionarily related, but not so close for reproduction to take place, yet, there are laboratory quimeric created beings for example a rat with human brain cells to study Alzheimer's and other diseases and religion want to cease these experiments due to ethics.... Some people believe men and women do not have the same number of ribs, and that the world is 6000 years old....! D'oh

Holy crap! I don't think that the chimp could carry a half human child. Maybe it would be possible to retrieve the chimp egg and fertilize it in the lab and have a surrogate carry it! Interesting thought.

It wouldn't negate the fact that God created us in the Beginning. The fact that we WERE created wouldn't be changed at all , even if scientists found a way to hybrid humans with algae; mankind was still created by a kind, loving and all-knowing God. In fact, lol, scientists should thank God every night in their prayers that he gave THEM the intelligence to be able to understand all that they do and to give them the abilities to do the good things that science has been able to bring about!! I certainly thank god everyday for that intelligence he has given mankind when I put in my contact lens and go from severely visually handicapped, to extremely vunctional in the visual world! That tiny little piece of plastic or silicon or whatever it is made of helps me more than any pair of glasses was EVER able to, its like a tiny miracle for me. And I thank god for giving man the brains to come up with it, not the men themselves.
So, no , I dont' ever see a chimpmanzee coming along. Good question, tho!

I don't think it would be very likely to occur without some help from scientist. Usually when genius are crossed the offspring is sterile as in the case of a mule.

Hey, this is a great question...!
A hybrid of the two would be a creation of Satan, therefore would have no bearing on Creationism. Satan could be the only force that would possess people to implant human sperm into a chimpanzee!!!!!!!!!

Actually, despite mt Creationist beliefs, I know that this could not happen, due to the partial incompatibility of the DNA.
But if it did, I would say it was an abomination to our Creator God- the scientists have believed they could corrupt the Creator's Plan, and so they would recieve punishment for this monstrosity.
I must ask, what point about Creationism does it give us? I can't see one.

Wouldnt change a thing becasue God already made the chimpanze and the human. God made all of it. If humans mess with nature in that way then that is human sins not anything God did on that part. If it did happen, the ones who did it would have to answer to God not me.

Mostly, I think I'd be outraged at the scientist (or the father) that decided to make that happen. I mean, who's going to take responsibility for that child? (however it turns out) It's just ethically irresponsible.

Even if you can that's unethical and it doesn't mean anything that we have a hybrid species, even more if they can't reproduce such as donkeys. Don't believe everything you read on wiki.
