Usually, brightly colored foods (naturally bright, not artificially colored!) are excellent. Try blueberries, strawberries (well, any berries, really), oranges, spinach, beets (yuck, but they'd *have* to be good for you since they taste so bad!), tomatoes (cooked are better for you), carrots, squash, sweet potatoes. Melons have a light diuretic effect, as do cucumbers, and they're high in water and pretty low in calories (especially cucumbers.)
Fiber is good for you and fills you up. Don't eat too much too fast, though! Bad for you and anybody downwind of you. Introduce fiber sloooowly so your body doesn't just dump it all down the toilet. Try potato skins or baked potato fries (or sweet potato fries)--not quite french fries, but not bad!
Try Cooking Light for tips (great mag) or search the internet for some recipes. Oh, and don't eat too much raw food at first, either. Same issue as with fiber. Yes, it's good for you, but not if it makes you get all crampy and gives you diarrhea. Good luck!

MEAT:
Beef
Chicken
Pork
Turkey
Fish
etc....
Meat is good for you, despite what all the fruitcakes out there say. Meat has the whole sequence of proteins and amino acids, and you can't get what you need from JUST VEGETABLES.
Red meat is also good for you, despite what certain idiots out there say. It's only bad for people who don't take care of themselves in the first place. But then all the TasteeCakes and Soda and Cheetos they eat aren't good for them either.
If you are exercising regularly and not eating junk food, you can eat all the meat you want - red or otherwise.

All fruits and vegetables are good for you to fight diseases and you can eat them anytime during the day and you won't gain weight from eating them. Also all white meat is good for you.
