you can get one but it won't be cheap or easy since you will have to replace the glass and get a proper glazier to cut the hole and fit a cat flap for you. Certainly not a DIY job I'm afraid.

Get a small "patio pet door" as indicated below. This is a pretty good price, and if you don't have a PetCo in the UK, there should be something comparable (or you can always order online :)).

This particular type of door doesn't go through the glass--it's a foot or so wide and as tall as the door, so you open the door about that width, and it fixes in place along that side of the door. You then would close the sliding door against it (and I would assume you could lock it in place up against the inserted apparatus).

Possible yes, but not so easy. You should get a glazing company to fit it on a double glazed door. Cutting a circle out of a sheet of glass is a skilled job. Call a local glazier and get a quote.

I think a company called Staywell produces cat flaps for glass doors as they specially made one to go through our conservatory brick wall

Yes, we had a Staywell catflap on our glass door. They can be bought from Argos, or most pet stores for about £10. Check with local specialists on how much it will cost to fit.

Staywell manufacture them. You have to get a glazier in to refit a piece of glass in the door with a round hole to fit the cat door, but they work really well.

If it's double glazed it's very expensive, we looked into it and in the end we got a cat tunnel- it goes through the wall instead of the door. My fiance was able to fit it himself so much cheaper. He ordered it on line, but I don't know who from Im afraid

just get a small pet door from a pet store or online. They all have many methods of attaching themselves to doors. I used to have one on my patio door that had a little door on the bottom and the rest of it just filled in the space the little door offset.
