Well my experience isnt really horrible nor scary but I just wanted to comment on this question. I was going thru the yahoo personals one time and ran across a woman I thought looked pretty attractive. She lived near me so I made contact with her and we agreed to meet for lunch at a local restaurant. She arrived before me. The restaurant only had 2 tables at the time. Neither person looked like the picture of the person I had seen on the internet. One was a man and the other looked like someones grandma. Well, you guessed it, I was there to meet grandma. She claimed to be 42 but I swear she was more like 62. And yes she was a grandma. She was very nice and we had a nice lunch and then went shopping a few days later. But I soon found out that I didnt want to be treated like one of her grandchildren. She kept trying to buy me candy and little treats. lol....anyway, I told her I just didnt feel that click. We still chat back and forth on IM's but I havent ever seen her in person since we first met.
So, moral of the story...........those tiny little pictures you see on the personals........they LIE!

I DO! ugh i was 13( i had just turned) he was 17! my sister and i told my parents we were going to the mall! truthfully she was i was going to his house. i was so nervous i just wanted to turn around. i never thought it threw! then i got there and he was nice but he was nothing like i wanted him to be like! he had a good personality but looks make up 10% of my relationship stuff! he just wasnt there! we broke up that sunday and he hasnt spoken to me since! i felt so bad! then a few months later i was over at my friends house after i was in a play and he was there. i went to say goodbye...( at this point we were kinda friends and i still had some feelings for him) and i gave him a hug and he kissed me. i went home with a HUGE knot in my stomach and i was silent the whole time! since then... we havent even said hi to one another! and im almost 15!

Yes, I met someone here but that's all I'll say...it didn't last!!
