Well considering people say they aren't annoyed, they seem pretty annoyed that I've told them that God loves them. I wonder why that is?
By the way, if people like me don't tell you, then who is going to share this amazing message with you?

I think people just get annoyed at the mixed messeges. Does he love everyone. They say Yes. Does he not love those who sin. they say yes. Well that doesn't make sence...

People just dont like being confused

I am annoyed when people always come up with the same old story: if God loves everyone, why do all these terrible things happen.... Okay, why do we have to go through trials? God knows how our belief is, he knows the answers... but he lets things happen to us, so we find out that maybe our faith is not as strong as we thought... This is our chance to "work" or our love for him... Believing in God is a personal choice... Everyone can be saved, if he makes that decision... God is a loving and forgiving God... This should make everyone think about it... As a christian, I would love to have the whole world saved, but again, it is a choice that is so easy to make for everyone... Believe or not, that is your problem, not mine... but HE loves YOU

Some of us take offence from unsolicited preaching, we find it intrusive and an insult to our intelligence.
It is a free world, believe what you want to believe and I will believe what I want to believe.
Many religious followers are particularly annoying to other people because they are constantly bleating about their faith, it is as if there is no other topic of conversation. For them of course , this is true, there really is no other topic of conversation.
It is often embarrassing for us, not our own embarrassment, but embarrassment felt in empathy for the poor soul who has lost his mind to the preachers. Born again, evangelising christians are by far the worst, not only do they seem to have a type of mental illness , but a worrying level of aggression to those that they perceive are against them.
I have never been harangued by a Muslim, a Hindu, a Parsi or indeed any other type of religious person, just those crazy christians and they are not like the Christians that we grew up amongst, these are a new type and they appear to be very dangerous in their attitude and views.
It is this aggression that we find upsetting and of course for the free minded amongst us, the political control of organised groups espousing peculiar theories to a notionally brainwashed membership is particularly frightening.
We just want to lead a quiet and peaceful life, attaining our spirituality by other means.

Because it IS annoying.

Imagine you have a friend who has an invisible friend. You really like your friend but he has this annoying habit of insisting that you shake his invisible friend's hand when you arrive, and wave goodbye to the invisible friend when you leave.

Now imagine that you live in a nation of people who all have invisible friends - imagine that the 'personality' of these invisible friends is deemed to be different by different people. Some people want you to feel the love of their invisible friend, while others want to protect you from their invisible friend's anger.

These people write poems about their invisible friends, and post things from books about invisible people everywhere.

There are large groups of these people that loudly claim that the invisible friends of other groups don't really exist, or that they are in some way inferior to the 'right' set of invisible friends.

Now, imagine pointing out that no matter how hard you've tried, you just can't see invisible people.

People with invisible friends will encourage you to try even harder - and will start to pity you when you just can't do it.

If you happen to suggest that perhaps invisible people don't exist terrible things happen! This is a major faux pas that will at best earn pity, and at worst earn anger.

It finally gets to the point where you and your friend are having a nice conversation, maybe about baseball, and your friend remarks that your favorite team asked their invisible friends for help before the game. Then your friend starts the all-too-familiar ramble about invisible friends that you find boring, so you tell your friend to please, just this once "skip it."

You finally get fed up enough to tell your friend that you like him, but can't hang out with him anymore as long as he insists you shake his invisible friend's nonexistant hand. And of course you know what your friend's reply is?

"If He wasn't real what difference would it make?
By the way... HE IS REAL AND HE DOES LOVE YOU!"

If he/she did exist & love me, then why is my brother dead & murdering, raping, evil bastards still living? That's a sick, twisted way of showing someone you love them!!
I don't understand why people believe there is a god when there is no proof other than the bible, which as far as I'm concerned, could have been written, one drunken evening, by a load of control freaks!
If there was a god, why does he/she allow so many tragedies to happen & why isn't he/she protecting his/her planet?
You'd have thought he/she would have fixed the hole in the ozone layer by now?!

Arn't we lucky to know that He is real and loves each and everyone of His children. It maybe others get annoyed because they do not have this knowledge and therefore do not appreciate how very special He is to us who do know.

The world would be a better place if more would take the time to find out for themselves if this is true, as they would then strive to live by the teachings we have been blessed to receive such as the commandments that include "Love one Another". There would be less hatred, less wars, less poverty etc., etc.

God Bless.

Why do you feel compelled to say G-d loves me? Don't you have enough to do trying to lead a decent life of your own? Funny, I thought the whole concept behind freedom of religion was to permit each person to make his/her own choices.

Did G-d appoint you His personal emmisary when the rest of us were asleep? Did you awaken one morning and decide we need YOU to guide our thinking? Why inflict YOUR beliefs on the rest of us? It really is the height of arrogance. That is THE REASON so many people are annoyed when you tell them G-d loves them. It is the supercilious contention that somehow YOU KNOW G-D'S MIND, AND YOU DO NOT. NOT EVEN CLOSE!

Hey look, it's my evil twin.

And it doesn't bother me. I usually thank people for the gesture and don't say anything about the fact that I don't think any such thing exists. Simply because it causes unnecessary tensions.

But in this case where religion and God are the subjects in question, thank you for the gesture but no, I don't think he or any other god before or after him are real.

god does not exist, the thought of there ever being a higher being is laughable. if god is real then why are there so many atrocities in the world. why are so many Innocent young children dying each day of terminal illnesses.
it is sad in this day and age that people still need an idol of some kind to cling on to . wake up and think for yourself. you are the masters of our own destiny
