i'm in the process of interviewing for a new job. i actually have several interviews this week. all of my friends have been calling/emailing, etc to wish me good luck, EXCEPT for the guy i'm dating. aside from this, he's normally a nice guy. are guys just clueless to this sort of thing? should i bring it up? i don't want to sound like i'm nagging. GUYS only, what are your thoughts?

We aren't clueless, we just don't place importance on the same things that you women do. When a guy goes for and interview, I can garentee you that his buddies don't call him up and wish him luck. They know they will hear if he got the job or not later when they next meet. So no, you shouldn't bring it up, you WILL just sound like you're nagging, and you will be starting a fight that shouldn't even have been started. Stop overthinking things.

Maybe he is felling a little insecure about the new job ! New place to work, different people to meet. Or it could be that you will make more money than him, and he will have to adjust. Just cut the guy some slack, and after some time he will let you know what it is !!

I'm not trying to be rude or anything but to congratulate somebody for getting an interview is a bit too much. It's also not entirely necessary to congratulate someone for getting a job- it's nice to hear, but not entirely necessary.
You're just knitpicking. I don't get upset when my friends fail to congratulate me for tying my shoes...

You girls need to chill out. I'm sure he'll think its wonderful if you get a job. Just relax. Or be the typical whiny, needy girlfriend, that he will eventually dump.

Why are women so clingy and needy? Is it going to help in some way if he says good luck? Jees, get over it.
