No it's not rude! You have that shower and get the baby's stuff for you guys. A shower is a celebration of welcoming a new child and also to help the parents with the financial burden of getting all the stuff ready for their little one! Even if it was 5-6 years if you have a need and your friends and family want to provide, go for it!!!! You are lucky to have a good strong support of people so enjoy and good luck!

Why would it be rude? It's a new baby and a new time. Have your shower and have fun. If people feel like it's rude or don't like the idea of giving you another gift. They don't have to show up. Get what you need and enjoy your family and friends welcoming your new baby into they're lives.

No.. it's been 10 years. If your friends want to throw it I say take it. I just recently had a baby and my "youngest" was 6.5 years old. I didn't have ANY baby stuff, not even a burp rag. So, I would assume, that if your child is 10 you don't have baby crap just laying around the house.
Have the shower, celebrate this new baby and your new life and don't feel guilty about it!

I think a second shower is a must. Any baby stuff you still may have is outdated and unuseable by today's standards. Let your friends give you another shower. It's not about the stuff anyway-they just want to celebrate your upcoming arrival.

I had my babies 14 months apart and my hubbys family threw me a surprise shower both times. I dont think its rude, you are just celebrating the upcoming baby and there is nothing wrong with that.

No you can have as many showers as you want to, just let your friends throw it. Etiquette says showers for second or more kids are fine, specially since it's been so long.
