When you're MOVING across the country, what's the best way to get all your stuff there, including your CAR?

Any ideas about the COSTS / prices?

Thanks! : )

With that much gear I'd rent a U-Haul or Ryder truck with a hitch. Get a front-wheel car trailer (the kind that lifts the front wheels off the ground, it makes for an easier tow than attaching a tow bar directly to your car) to tow the car behind the rental truck. Good luck! I did a similar move from California to Texas early last year and it was educational, to say the least.

You can look into a professional moving service, some companies specialize in cross-continental moves, I think Airway is one of those companies. If you go the way of the pros, you can drive yourself to Cali, and not worry about airfare. :D
Or you can go the crazy route and rent a giant U-Haul and try to move yourself.
