Yes, be careful. This is a sign that you need to take more breaks while looking at your PC. Long-term use of a VDU screen can damage the eyesight, partly because they are brightly lit and (on the older screens) they flicker, which is very bad for the eyes.

Remember to:

Take breaks every 20 minutes
Make sure your room is well-lit
Get a flat-screen monitor
Go to the optician regularly
Wear glasses if you need them

Rebbecca, if you seriously get flashes of light - when you close your eyes at night - see a doctor. That happens to me. Flashes of white light just before I go to sleep and it has nothing to do with Yahoo answers. In my case I don't have to worry - my optician has it too. It depends on your age - as to whether you have to worry.

yes its constantally looking at the screen and been tired i get this and have to go to bed next day im fine

no but you should be reducing the amount of time spent on the computer if this is happening. an eye test may well be advised also

yes i do my eyes feel really weird after i have been on here it takes a few mins to go back to normal
